Who loves it: Alexson Kane, 25, communications manager for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's north central states chapter.
About the dish: Kane calls it "a delicious and indulgent barbecue version of a sloppy Joe made with cajun sausage and loaded with Cactus Bob's own sweet sauce." Normally she judges a barbecue joint on its brisket, but on a whim she gave the Sloppy Bob a try and has been a fan since. She's been going to the suburban restaurant for about a year now.

"Few things can satisfy hunger, cure a hangover or restore your faith in food quite like a sauced-up barbecue sandwich, and no one in Des Moines does it better than Cactus Bob's in Johnston," she said.
Why she keeps ordering it: "Did I feel silly ordering it? Of course. But it was worth it. In the way climbing Everest and seeing the view is worth it - this sandwich is just that good. I could eat this sandwich every day. With a side of Bob's homemade kettle chips and some tangy coleslaw, it's got everything I could ever want in a meal. I don't get to indulge in it very often, but that just makes the times I do all the better. Next time you find your stomach growling in Johnston, order up a Sloppy Bob. You can thank me later."
