Through Nov. 23 &mdash See "Escanaba in da Moonlight" at the Des Moines Playhouse, a hilarious story about five guys on the eve of the opening day of hunting season in 1989.

17 &mdash Gateway Dance Theatre Gala Reception features the premiere of "Water is Life," a work that incorporates Indian and African art forms.
