The brand new NFL season is right around the corner, which means a brand new fantasy football season is in order.

The research’s been done — you’ve scoured every podcast, website and magazine on what players are going to perform best this season. You know the right value for each quarterback, wide receiver, running back and kicker. You’ve gotten together a league with some of your closest friends. Now what’s left? Throwing an unforgettable draft party.

Head into this year’s fantasy season with style by throwing a draft party at one of these six locations. And we’re not just talking B-Dubs.

Wellman’s Pub and Rooftop

West Des Moines’ Wellman’s Pub and Rooftop is an ideal spot for hosting a fantasy draft party. It’s a huge, spacious bar fully-equipped with a rooftop patio that overlooks West Glen and beyond. This year, the pub’s offering up a food and drink special for folks choosing to draft at Wellman’s — all-you-can-eat wings and a pitcher of domestic beer for $15. Wings, beer and football ... this bar’s got it figured out.

Find it: 597 Market St., West Des Moines

Hours: 11-2 a.m. Monday-Friday, 11-2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday

Info: wellmanspub.com, 515-222-1100

Beaver Tap

Beaverdale’s own traditional sports bar will also be opening its doors to football fanatics for fantasy draft season. According to the bar’s Facebook page, booking a draft party with Beaver Tap includes a complimentary fantasy draft kit, exclusive punch card and other offers. Another great thing about Beaver Tap? The menu. Don’t hesitate to chomp into the bar’s classic burger or chicken tender sandwich while figuring out which quarterback will lead your fantasy team to victory this season.

Find it: 4050 Urbandale Ave.

Hours: 3 p.m.–2 a.m. Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.–2 a.m Saturday-Sunday

Wallaby’s Bar and Grille

Ames residents should consider this north side staple the go-to place for a fantasy draft party in a sleek, sports bar atmosphere. The new Wallaby’s — which re-located from Lincoln Way to Ames’ Somerset neighborhood late last year — is similar to Wellman’s in West Des Moines in the way that it’s a nice, open-area sports bar great for hosting events. As far as drinks are concerned, the bar offers everything from domestics to imports to craft beer — as well as mixed drinks and wine.

Find it: 2733 Stange Road, Ames

Hours: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily

Info: wallabysbarandgrille.com, 515-292-1167

Tonic on Court Avenue

Tonic offers the same fantasy draft party special as Beaver Tap, but provides a totally different atmosphere for the event. Tonic’s swankier and offers a wide variety of drink options — including martinis, cocktails and craft beer — while still being centrally located in Des Moines’ Court Ave. district. The biggest perk: it’s a cigar bar. Draft participants can step out the bar’s patio and chew on a cigar while contemplating tough decisions on which running back is best for his or her’s offense.

Find it: 210 Court Ave.

Hours: 3 p.m.-2 a.m. daily

Rookies Sports Bar and Grille

Rookies — a bar and restaurant located on the corner of Hickman and 156th in Clive — is offering 20 percent off food and drinks for draft parties that choose it for the host bar. Parties must call in advance to register for this special. The food and drink menu includes prime draft party options — with beers ranging from locals like Peace Tree to domestics like Budweiser, plus all the food you could want: burgers, chicken sandwiches, nachos, pasta and more.

Find it: 2180 NW 156th St., Clive

Hours: 11-12 a.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday

Info: gorookies.com, 515-987-0093

The Chicken Coop Sports Bar & Grille

The Chicken Coop’s the spot to team delicious chicken wings with your fantasy draft night. The bar offers up self-described “flame-broiled wings” that come in a plethora of sauce varieties. With locations in Urbandale and West Des Moines, it’s a no-brainer suburban wing spot. The Urbandale location has enough televisions mounted to keep even the craziest sports fan satisfied — making it an overall great environment to host a fantasy football event.

Find it: 12725 Meredith Dr., Urbandale

Hours: 11-2 a.m. daily

Info: chickencoopsportsbar.com, 515-334-2667
