Art Under $50
Challenger: Liz Lidgett, Juice Columnist and Adore Your Walls Founder & CEO
The piece was chosen because the striking image paired perfectly with my clean and traditional setting. Plus the piece came with framing and matting so it was ready to install. Renovation Home is a great place to start because they have a wide variety of prices and items. I had my choice of several vintage artworks under $50.
Pro tips from Liz:
- Look for vintage pieces that can be paired with more modern artworks. The combination will feel fresh and bring out the best in your vintage piece.
- Imperfections are okay. Vintage items have a story to tell and if it has a flaw, it may just be a part of that story. Buy it because you love it, not because it’s perfect.
- Know when to clean it — and when not to clean it. Sometimes a piece of art can be or look dirty, but you may do more harm to the piece than good if you try to clean it.
