Kenan Thompson, a long-standing star on "Saturday Night Live" is scheduled to perform a show in Ames early next year.

Set for Feb. 17 at Stephens Auditorium, Thompson will be bringing 12 seasons of SNL experience to the stage.

"Thompson has made numerous contributions to the show with his catalog of hilarious impressions that include Bill Cosby, Rev. Al Sharpton, Charles Barkley, Cee Lo Green and Whoopi Goldberg," a press release announcing the event said.

Before carving a name for himself on "Saturday Night Live," Thompson won over the hearts of '90s kids with his numerous skits on the Nickelodeon show "All That." Thompson also starred alongside Kel Mitchell in the Nickelodeon show "Kenan and Kel" before his time on SNL. The two reunited earlier this year alongside Jimmy Fallon for a "Good Burger" sketch.

Tickets, which are $30 or $20 with an Iowa State University student ID, to the show are on sale now via Ticketmaster or at the Stephens Auditorium box office.
