Saturday: The Des Moines Music Coalition holds its 10th annual celebration of Iowa music, Gross Domestic Product, starting at 2 p.m. with shows at Wooly’s, 504 E. Professional Bull Riders

Harlem Globetrotters

Sunday: When they’re not solving mysteries with Scooby-Doo, the Harlem Globetrotters find time to play a little basketball, like they will at 3 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena, 730 Third St. The game is part of the Washington Generals Revenge Tour, in which the perennial losers try to turn their luck around (spoiler alert: they probably won’t). $26-$99. ‘The Lion King’

Tuesday through May 17: Disney’s musical “The Lion King” returns to the Des Moines Civic Center, 221 Walnut St., starting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Based on the 1994 animated film, the musical features impressive costumes and puppetry envisioned by director Julie Taymor with songs by Elton John and Tim Rice. $30.50-$69.50.
