The Downtown Community Alliance has announced The Black Cadillacs and The 4onthefloor as headliners for the World Food & Music Festival, being held Sept. 18-20 on the Walnut Street Bridge downtown.
Both are blues rock bands, with The Black Cadillacs incorporating elements of 60’s rock. The group has performed at festivals like Bonnaroo and SXSW. Earlier this year The Black Cadillacs released a self-titled EP produced by former Wilco drummer Ken Coomer. The Black Cadillacs perform Sept. 18.
The 4onthefloor is a Minneapolis band that writes its music in 4/4 time (hence the name) that has played with Trampled by Turtles, Willie Neslon, Drive-By Truckers and others. The group released its fourth album this year.
The full music lineup for Friday is The Black Cadillacs, Twins, Brazilian 2wins, Kelly’s Clan and The Punching Pandas.
For Saturday it’s The 4onthefloor, North of Grand, Kalenna Calcutta, Rude Punch and Britches & Hose Ukelele Club.
