Rock and Roll Hall of Fame songwriter Bob Seger has postponed his 2017 "Runaway Train" tour, a statement on his website says.

The tour included a stop at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Oct. 10.

According to Seger's website, the rescheduled date is yet to be announced and tickets sold for the original date will be honored at the rescheduled show. A news statement from Seger's website can be found below.

"Bob Seger announced today that he will have to postpone upcoming tour dates upon receiving his doctor’s orders to attend to an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae. No further details are available at this time."
