Fresh off a Broadway run with hit musical “Waitress,” pop star Jason Mraz on Monday announced plans for a summer tour — including a stop in Iowa.

The “I’m Yours” singer is slated to appear at McGrath Amphitheater in Cedar Rapids on Aug. 26, according to his website. Tickets, which cost $44-$98, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com.

Coined the "Good Vibes" tour, music kicks off at 8 p.m. with folk-pop singer Brett Dennen opening the show.

A two-time Grammy Award winner, 40-year-old Mraz is known for hits such as “I Won’t Give Up,” “93 Million Miles” and “Lucky.” He released his fifth studio album, “Yes!,” in 2014.

The show won’t be the first major pop performance in Cedar Rapids this summer; local convention and visitors bureau GO Cedar Rapids unveiled NewBo Evolve, a three-day cultural festival, featuring music headliners Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson.
