We had another busy day of announcements on Monday. I might be speaking too soon, but 2016 is shaping up to be my BEST summer in Des Moines ever. There's a little bit of something for us all. From Nas to Diana Ross to Tears For Fears, we have some great shows coming up. There's more (and don't forget to tell a friend to subscribe here)...
This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. I have good news and bad news. The Broadway musical that I've dreamed about attending and been listening to on Apple Music since the day before forever is coming to Des Moines. The musical is scheduled to take place at the Des Moines Civic Center in downtown as part of the 2017-2018 Willis Broadway Series, so there's plenty of time for all of us to save up our coins to afford those tickets.
Steven Tyler, maybe you've heard of him? Well, he's coming to Des Moines to perform at the Iowa State Fair. He's hitting the Grandstand stage on Aug. 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets will range from $45 to $65 and go on sale April 16 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com or at 800-745-3000.

Come this fall, you'll be filling your pint glasses in Peace Tree Brewing's upcoming brewery and taproom in the East Village. The new location will serves as a place where they can make sour beers. Brewing sour beers requires a specific type of bacteria. To safeguard against infecting other batches with the bacteria, it is best to make sour beers in a separate facility.
