Happy Tuesday! It's Ameena. I'm three weeks into my new Juice role and I've been busy cooking up all types of things. But before I really get down to the nitty gritty, I need your help. First, I want to feature YOU and your mother in upcoming article for Mother's Day. It's about how people communicate with their moms via text message. Send your #LoveMomTexts to me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Second, I want you to tell me what to do. What food, drink, person or event should I write about? Tell me about what's cool and important to you. Now, without further ado, here's what's happening around the city (and don't forget to tell a friend to subscribe here)...
Business leaders around the state of Iowa are trying to figure out how to get more millennials in the city, especially those in the insurance industry. Now, it might be a little difficult to attract millennials to the insurance job field because of its reputation for being dull. Places like Holmes Murphy have switched up recruitment practices a bit by establishing a summer program that provides industry-specific training as well as broad leadership, team building and problem-solving skills.

The Des Moines Arts Festival announced the headlining acts for the music portion of the event, which includes nostalgic 1990s alternative band Gin Blossoms and 1970s radio rock favorites Grand Funk Railroad. Gin Blossoms will headline the main stage on June 24 and Grand Funk plays on June 25. The festival will take place June 24-26 at Western Gateway Park.
More music: Nas, The Decemberists to headline 80/35
I love a good chicken wing. So, when Zombie Burger announced that they would be adding wings to its menu, I had to make my way over there to try them. I tried the southside ranch, brown sugar and Carolina mustard BBQ. Overall, I would only recommend the brown sugar rub.
