SAYING GOODBYE

It's been a bittersweet time for many Iowa parents this week. I don't have any kids, but I've been getting a lot of second-hand feelings from watching my friends go through the process. It's not easy. Every experience is different, but there are some universal truths and feelings associated with this day that all parents have.

HIDDEN GEMS

Iowa sure is a lot more than breaded pork tenderloins, breweries on every bike trail, corn growing tall and pigs ruling the roost. Here’s a look at eight hidden treasures found all across the state that can give tourists a reason to discover old places that make this state even more interesting.

DRAKE DINING

Thousands of students head to the Drake University campus as classes get set to commence for the fall semester. And they're all going to get hungry. Here, a look at nine restaurants in the Drake neighborhood that serve up everything from diner fare and sushi to breakfast and pizza. Dig in.
