Another day closer to Friday, Iowa! Looking to lock in plans for your weekend? Here's a few options for mid-November entertainment across the city.

It's Promenade time!

The 15th annual East Village Promenade takes place tomorrow evening. Kick off your holiday with entertainment, shopping and food in Des Moines' East Village. Learn about the event in full by visiting the Juice guide to the East Village Promenade.

A clean-cut performance.

For the latest edition of Juice Side Sessions (you know, the video series where we take Iowa artists and ask them to play songs around notable Iowa locations), we asked Des Moines band Towncrier to perform at Franklin Barber Shop in Beaverdale. People went in for a hair cut and got a pop-up show. A win-win. Watch the video in full here.

Get the picture right:

  • Join award-winning Register and Juice photographers for a one-time class teaching members of the public how to take the perfect holiday family portrait or selfie. Juice newsletter subscribers can get 15 percent off tickets today by using the promo link here. The event takes place Nov. 20.
