6 things to do on NYE that aren't parties

2015 was a busy and exhausting year for many. If ringing in the New Year in a sequined dress and staying up all night just doesn’t sound all that enticing this year, we’ve got a few other ideas for you. This NYE, ditch the champagne toast at midnight and try one of these six activities with your friends, family or a date — you don’t have to stay up all night to celebrate!

Wine Tasting at Summerset Winery

Who needs bubbly when you can have wine? Book a wine tasting and tour at a local Iowa winery. We suggest Summerset Winery, located just minutes outside of Des Moines. They produce an array of award winning Iowa wines and for a mere $20 you get a tasting of all Summerset wines, a wine cellar tour, a cheese platter and a Summerset logoed wine glass to take home. The tour and tastings last about an hour but extend your stay with a bottle.
