American songwriter Sturgill Simpson is set to bring his collection of highly-acclaimed country and roots songs to Hoyt Sherman Place this fall.

Set to take place Nov. 2, the show comes after the April 2016 release of Simpson's third studio record, "A Sailor's Guide to Earth." The record was self-produced by Simpson and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album sales charts.

The record, which was released via Atlantic Records, features the single "Brace for Impact (Live a Little)," as well as Simpson's take on the popular Nirvana number "In Bloom." Simpson's first album, "High Top Mountain," debuted in June 2013. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2015 for Best Americana Album for "Metamodern Sounds in Country Music."

The show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and doors are set to open at 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $30, $35 and $40 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Hoyt Sherman place box office, ticketmaster.com or via phone at 800-745-3000.
