With the weather being so beautiful this summer, Iowans are looking for more and more ways to get out of the house to enjoy it.

Well, how do you do that without breaking the bank? Don't worry, there are plenty of free live music events for the music lover in all of us to enjoy around the city.

Jasper Winery’s Summer Concert Series

The series takes place every Thursday this summer from 6 to 9 p.m.

Looking to start your weekend early? Kick things off with Music in the Junction every Thursday until Sept. 29 on Fifth Street and Railroad Park in West Des Moines. It takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Trostel’s Greenbriar 

You can hear live patio music at Trostel's Greenbriar, 5810 Merle Hay Rd, in Johnston. It starts at 7 p.m. on Fridays and goes on until 10 p.m.
