Tyra Banks came in to Bubba, a Des Moines comfort food restaurant, in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday.

Co-owner Chris Diebel was pleasantly surprised.

“She looked absolutely stunning and was so sweet,” he said. The model ordered deviled eggs, collard greens and black-eyed peas. “She said they were the best black-eyed peas she’d ever had,” Diebel said.

Banks was in town to speak to "Beautytainers" — sales representatives who sell Tyra Beauty products. Banks launched the line, known for its quick, easy and efficient in-a-stick products, last year.

A friend who accompanied Tyra at the restaurant ordered fried chicken and the two grabbed a Bubba salad with fried chicken to go.

And this isn't the first time Bubba has been star-struck lately...

Actress Sophia Bush stopped by Bubba for brunch two Sundays ago while stumping for Hillary Clinton.

Kelsey Asbille Chow of MTV's "Teen Wolf" fame stopped in nearly daily at Bubba, Diebel said, to order sweet tea while she was filming the TV series “Embeds” at the Des Luxe Hotel last week.

Dustin Kaufman, the drummer for St. Lucia, came in to Bubba before his set at Wooly’s on Wednesday night, Diebel said.
