There's a 'Pulp Fiction' party coming to Des Moines and you're invited
Greg Johnson, director of Marketing for Flix Brewhouse, gives a sneak preview of the nearly complete Flix Brewhouse in Des Moines' Merle Hay Mall.
Be cool, film fans. A special screen of cult favorite “Pulp Fiction” is headed to Des Moines.
That’s right, the celebrated Quentin Tarantino film returns to the big screen next month at Flix Brewhouse in Des Moines as part of the theater’s monthly “Fan Fest” series. The film runs one-night only, Feb. 28, and entry costs $7.
Flix, a craft brewery, restaurant and theater located in the Merle Hay Mall, plans to offer special menu items, souvenirs and lobby activities for crazed fans of the 1994 classic starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson.
On the menu? A double “royale with cheese” burger (duh) and a $5 house-brewed strawberry and vanilla “Milkshake” IPA. And, yes. It’s really $5.
Flix marketing director Greg Johnson urged ticket-buyers to act fast because the screening will sell out. Fans in attendance will receive a souvenir “Pulp Fiction” pint glass.
Not able to make “Pulp Fiction” night? Here’s what the Flix Fan Fest lineup looks like in the coming months:
- March - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- April - Sixteen Candles
- May - Goonies
- June - Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan
- July - Urban Cowboy
