515 Alive: Griz, Illenium, Wiz Khalifa lead lineup with 'Old Town Road' artist
Put on your cowboy hat from Gucci because the lineup has been announced for 515 Alive this year in Des Moines.
The electronic music festival will be held at Water Works Park Aug. 16-17 and will feature hip-hop headliners like Griz, Illenium and Wiz Khalifa. Lil Nas X, the breakout "Old Town Road" artist, is featured as a special guest at the festival.
The event will take over four stages, a camping space and transport to after parties once the shows are over at the Des Moines park.
Griz, an American DJ known for producing "future-funk" music, is returning to the festival after playing in Des Moines on the main stage in 2017. The electronic heavyweight is known for his popular singles like "Find My Own Way," with Wiz Khalifa and "A New Day" with Matisyahu.
Along with Griz, headliner Illenium, an EDM and trap artist known for his remix of "Don't Let me Down" and rapper Wiz Khalifa will bring a mixture of hip-hop and electronic music. Khalifa is known for his popular radio hits and chart toppers like, "See You Again," with Charlie Puth, "Payphone" with Maroon 5 and "Black and Yellow."
Besides the headliners, notable names like $uicideboy$, Playboy Carti, Hippie Sabotage, Flux Pavillion, Getter and Black Tiger Sex Machine will perform.
For its second year, the Thunderdome will also return to 515 Alive and highlight notable DJs who will share “back-to-back” collaboration sets.
Past 515 Alive headliners include Bassnectar, Future, Gucci Mane, Excision, Machine Gun Kelly, A$AP Ferg and Zeds Dead.
