The Des Moines Social Club is kicking off the summer with its fourth annual Food Truck Throwdown from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Fifteen local food trucks will be on Cherry Street between Eighth and 10th streets.
Admission is $5 at the entrance, giving attendees access to the food trucks, Iowa Beverage beer tents, live music, arts, activities and more. All food trucks will have smaller portions available at a lower cost than normal to allow attendees to try many foods and vote for their favorite.
