Central Standard Burgers, Beer & Stuff is coming to Waukee, bringing its house-made burgers, craft beer selection and inventive milkshakes to the metro.
This popular restaurant in Bettendorf is opening its second location at 1222 S.E. University Avenue in a newly constructed strip mall space, which includes a patio, dining room and bar with space for 200 guests.
About 15 kinds of burgers, along with several varieties of tacos and mac and cheese will be offered, along with appetizers and sandwiches with hand-cut fries and other sides. The average price per dish will be about $10.
The kitchen will be managed by executive chef Brian Olsen, 35, while the service staff will be managed by front-of-house operations manager Rachel Hart, 43. Hart said the new restaurant is twice the size of the Quad Cities location.
Hart plans to fill all 24 taps with a rotating assortment of Iowa craft beer. A full bar will be available with cocktails and wine.
Olsen said everything on the menu is homemade, all the way down to the brioche-like burger buns made with a touch of honey and baked fresh every day.
