Love Pho? Now you can make this traditional Vietnamese street food for yourself at home. There’s nothing better than diving into a warm bowl of soup during cold winter months or if you’re feeling under the weather.

A Vietnamese restaurant in Waukee has closed its doors after five years in operation.

H's Pho, located at 286 W. Hickman Road in Waukee in the Liberty Park Mall shopping center, closed quietly to the public within the past month. The last review on Yelp was posted June 19.

The restaurant was closed upon repeat visits during posted business hours. Service equipment had been removed from the counter, and the phone number for the restaurant has also been disconnected. And several posts made in the past few weeks from customers on its Facebook page inquiring about being open have gone unanswered.

H's Pho, owned by Hop Nguyen, opened in July 2014. The restaurant featured Vietnamese specialties such as pho; stir-fry dishes with rice; hot pots with seafood, tofu, meat and vegetables; banh mi; appetizers and other dishes. Nguyen previously operated a bakery in Seattle.

The owner, Hop Nguyen, could not be reached, and a person who answered the phone at Schoenauer Property Management, the company handling Liberty Park Mall commercial leases, said the business is not longer in operation but the company has not returned calls or emails for confirmation.
