Did your kid spill chocolate on their shirt again? Drip ice cream down their pants? Here's a foolproof way to get those brown stains out for good.

The Outside Scoop, a popular Indianola ice cream shop and metro ice cream truck, has opened a second location in Ankeny's Prairie Trail development.

The company opened on June 20 in the Plaza Shoppes area along Southwest White Birch Drive.

Managed by Haylee Korth, the new store looks similar to the Indianola shop and offers the same rotation of homemade ice cream flavors, sundaes, shakes, malts and blended frozen treats.

The Outside Scoop opened in 2010 offering around 80 flavors of ice cream served on a rotating basis depending on the season. Those include dark chocolate-raspberry, malted vanilla wafer and roasted goat cheese with roasted cherries.

The Indianola location features 24 flavors at any given time, including a dairy-free option.

Two ice cream trucks make their way around the Des Moines metro with a similar variety on a smaller scale.
