Sonic Drive-In's new Pickle Juice Slush is already getting mixed reviews on social media.

The Iowa State Fair is a storied tradition and a well-known menagerie of diabolical food. Among Iowans' favorites: the corn dog

But what if you're just craving that corn dog and don't have time to fight the traffic or don't want to pay the fee to park, let alone the price of admission, just to get your corn dog fix?

For corn dog lovers feeling the Fair burnout: you're in luck. Sonic Drive-In, the fast-food chain famous for replicating the kind of stall parking and order-to-your-car dining that became popular in the 1950s, is now offering 50 cent corn dogs on August 14 only.

That's half the price of their normal cost ($1).

There is reportedly no limit on the number of corn dogs one can order at this price, so corn dog lovers rejoice!

There are two Sonic locations in the Des Moines area, one on Merle Hay Road in Johnston and another on N. Ankeny Blvd in Ankeny.
