Des Moines metro's last Taco Hangover location has closed permanently

A restaurant in Ankeny's Prairie Trail has closed its doors permanently.
Taco Hangover, located at 1631 SW Main Street, Suite 100 in Ankeny, recently announced on its Facebook page that it has permanently closed.
The restaurant, part of the Riley Drive Entertainment group, opened in March 2018 and offered street tacos, Mexican-inspired favorites and margaritas.
Another location of Taco Hangover at 265 50th Street in West Des Moines recently closed on Sept. 1 to rebrand as 50th Street Tap. Its Facebook page said it will reopen on Sept. 18.
At the end of 2018, the Taco Hangover at 3701 NW 86th Street closed briefly to reopen as a Saints Pub + Patio on Jan. 7.
Riley Drive Entertainment of Lenexa, Kansas also owns Saints Pub + Patio, Tonic, Beaver Tap and Union 29 in the Des Moines area; and the upcoming 50th Street Tap.
There is no word at this time if the company is planning a rebrand for the same property.
