Carrie Underwood announced for Iowa State Fair Grandstand
"American Idol" winner turned country star Carrie Underwood is the latest addition to the Iowa State Fair Grandstand. She'll perform on Aug. 17.
Underwood's hits include "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Before He Cheats" and "All American Girl." Time Magazine also named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world last year.
The singer's most recent album is 2012's "Blown Away," though she did release a greatest hits album last year, "Greatest Hits: Decade #1," featuring the single "Something In the Water." Underwood last played Des Moines in 2012 with a show at Wells Fargo Arena.
Michael Ray will open Underwood's show. Ticket info is still TBA.
