River Bank Bash is canceled, but may reschedule
River Bank Bash organizer Grant Sheeder said the country music event has been canceled, but it's possible the concert may be rescheduled for later this summer or early fall.
"The locations we had for backup plans were also too wet to accommodate the size and weight of the stage," Sheeder said. "The time restraint to find a safe environment for fans and performers was impossible."
Katheryn Dickel with Midwestix, the ticketing agency handling the River Bank Bash, said refunds won't be issued until organizers determine if a new date is feasible. She added that River Bank Bash ticket holders could swap for a ticket to Guthrie's River Ruckus, which is held July 23-25 at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds in Guthrie Center. Lee Brice, Chris Young and Casey Muessingmann will headline that festival. Sheeder organizes both events.
Headliner Eric Church has another Iowa date scheduled, July 24 at the Great Jones County Fair in Monticello.
