Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has plenty of opinions beyond what he shared in the new book he's promoting, among them some disbelief about the identity of the Republican most favored in polls on the presidential race.

"The fact that Donald Trump is a real candidate for the presidency of the United States of (expletive) America — are you kidding me? Whatever. OK," Taylor told interviewer Andy Hall on Des Moines radio station KAZR-FM 103.3, which posted the 29-minute interview on YouTube.

The remark follows a discussion of increasingly crass commercialism and lowest-common-denominator entertainment options, including a reality-show invitation that Taylor said he turned down immediately.

Taylor, who has sung lead vocals for the Grammy-winning Des Moines metal band for almost two decades, suggested that he might leave the United States as a result, listing potential destinations including London (too expensive, he said), Guam (a U.S. territory) and Belize (specifically, a purchased island).
