Slipknot's Corey Taylor lends monstrous scream to Doctor Who
Corey Taylor — the Iowa native best known as the frontman of world-renowned bands Slipknot and Stone Sour — lent his spine-tingling scream to famed British drama "Doctor Who."
The shout and all of its snarling prestige debuts Oct. 10 on the episode "Under The Lake," reports The Guardian. Taylor provided his skills to the episode's monster, Fisher King, which was voiced by Peter Serafinowicz and played on screen by Neil Fingleton.
"You have NO idea how hard it's been to keep this awesome secret," Taylor said on his official Facebook page.
British website The Mirror reports the appearance culminated when Taylor visited the "Doctor Who" headquarters while being in Cardiff, Wales, for a Slipknot show earlier this year. The report said he recorded the scream on the spot, during the set visit in January.

Taylor's premier act, Slipknot, released its fifth studio LP, ".5: The Gray Chapter," last October. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Taylor also released his third book, "You're Making Me Hate You," earlier this year.
