Hinterland Music Festival announces 2016 dates, location
The second annual Hinterland Music Festival will return to to Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater in St. Charles on Aug. 5-6, 2016.
2015 marked the festival's inaugural year, featuring performances from acts like Old Crow Medicine Show, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Future Islands, TV On The Radio and more. A press release announcing the dates and location said more than 14,000 people attended the festival, with over 2,000 campers.
The festival drew attendees from 44 states and five countries.
"Hinterland features a diverse blend of relevant artists, camping, on-site art installations, craft vendors, family engagement and more," the press release said. "The festival captures a Midwestern knack for finding the beauty in all things urban and rural. Hinterland is truly a unique experience for music lovers."
More details, including festival lineup and ticket information, is expected to be released early next year.
