Iowans have an upcoming date with a rock ‘n’ roll icon.
Joe Perry, songwriter and co-founding member of celebrated American rock act Aerosmith, kicks off a North American tour Nov. 30 at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Sioux City. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via hardrockcasinosiouxcity.com.
Music kicks off at 8 p.m., per the Hard Rock website.
Perry, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, fills out his band with Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford and Gary Cherone, vocalist for 1980s glam metal act Extreme.
The famed “Walk This Way” and “Crazy” songwriter earlier this year released his sixth solo studio album, “Sweetzerland Manifesto.” The 10-song effort features a rotating cast of guest vocalists, including Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander and New York Dolls vocalist David Johansen.
The tour runs through Dec. 16, with additional Midwest dates scheduled in Illinois and Michigan. Find more information at joeperry.com.
