A night on "some beach" is headed back to the Hawkeye state.

Country star Blake Shelton announced Tuesday plans to perform a headlining show at Wells Fargo Arena on March 14, a Thursday night. 

Tickets go on sale Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. via Hy-VeeTix.com, the Wells Fargo Arena box office (233 Center St.) or by phone, at 844-55-HYVEE. Des Moines Register subscribers can digitally access pre-sale tickets Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. 

Coined the "Friends & Heroes 2019" tour, Shelton plans to be joined in Des Moines by Lauren Alaina, Trace Adkins, the Bellamy Brothers and John Anderson. The tur kicks off Feb. 14, 2019 in Oklahoma City, wrapping March 23, 2019 in Albany, New York. 

Shelton previously played Iowa in 2016, performing to roughly 45,000 people at the first-ever Kinnick Stadium concert in Iowa City. He appeared at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand in 2008, alongside Tracey Lawrence.

The 42-year-old Oklahoma native released his 11th studio album, "Texoma Shore," in 2017. The album features the No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay single "I'll Name the Dogs."
