Scaramouch! Scaramouch! Is this the real life, or just a "Bohemian Rhapsody" sing-along?
Iowans this weekend can catch a sing-along version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" — the biopic of enigmatic frontman Freddie Mercury and his beloved rock 'n' roll group Queen — at a number of metro cinemas.
The film returns to American cinemas in sing-along format following a surprise “Best Motion Picture - Drama” victory at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards.
Here’s where you can participate in a shame-free public belting of “Killer Queen,” per Fandango:
- Flix Brewhouse in Des Moines (Merle Hay Mall)
- Century 20 Jordan Creek & XD in West Des Moines (Jordan Creek Town Center)
- AMC Johnston 16 in Johnston

“Bohemian Rhapsody,” the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time with over $734.4 million to date, documents Mercury's rapid rise to fame with Queen and tumultuous life in the spotlight. Portraying Mercury on the silver screen, Rami Malek earned the Golden Globe for “Best Actor - Drama.”
The sing-along version has already become a phenom in South Korea.
"The audience was singing, clapping and stamping their feet as if we were at a concert," Kim Jeong-hwa, a college graduate who had attended special "Bohemian Rhapsody" sing-along screenings twice, told ABC News in November.
