Rising rap star Kodak Black plans to join Cardi B when she takes the stage this May in Des Moines.
Known for Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hits "ZEZE" and "Tunnel Vision," the 21-year-old Florida rapper plays main support on the one-off arena show, scheduled for May 3 at Wells Fargo Arena.
The appearance comes as part of his "Dying To Live" North American tour.
Breaking out in 2016, Dieuson Octave — who last year reportedly changed his name to Bill K. Kapri and performs under the name Kodak Black — has collaborated with the likes of Gucci Mane, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne and more. Notable cuts from Black include "Drowning," "Wake Up The Sky" and "Roll In Peace."
He's known off-stage for a number of legal issues, including a January 2018 arrest that stemmed from an Instagram Live broadcast showing Black with a young child in the vicinity of marijuana and a handgun.
The show addition comes during a busy week for Cardi B, who on Sunday night won the Grammy Award for "Best Rap Album." The New York rapper is known for chart-topping tracks "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It."
Another opening act may be announced at a later date, promoters said. Tickets to see Cardi B are sold out, but additional seats may open closer to the show.
