Grammy Award-winning country pop and a classic rock favorite join the upcoming Iowa State Fair Grandstand concert lineup.
Chart-topping "Tequila" group Dan + Shay play the Grandstand on Aug. 13, a Tuesday night. Tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. via iowastatefair.org, running $27, $37 and $47 before fees and fair admission.
"Every Little Thing" singer Carly Pearce is scheduled to open the show.
Classic rock staple Foreigner returns for a third time to the Grandstand, playing Aug. 15, a Thursday night. Tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. via iowastatefair.org and run $27, $32 or $42 before fees and fair admission.
1980s group Night Ranger will open that show.
Dan + Shay return to Iowa following a 2018 performance at the Big Country Bash. The group earned a Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance earlier this month for "Tequila," a song that reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Song and Country Airplay charts.
The group's topped the Country Airplay chart five times, with tracks such as "Nothin' Like You," "How Not To," "From The Ground Up" and "Speechless."
Foreigner made a dent in 1970s and '80s radio rock with a catalog that includes "I Wanna Know What Love Is," "Cold As Ice" and "Hot Blooded." The band previously played the Grandstand in 2008 and 2014.
The Iowa State Fair runs Aug. 8-18 in Des Moines. Two open dates remain on the Grandstand calendar. Find more information at iowastatefair.org.
