Gear up for a night of country music that promises to hit you like a hurricane, Des Moines.
Fast-rising country star Luke Combs returns Oct. 5 to Iowa's capital city for a headlining show at Wells Fargo Arena, part of his "Beer Never Broke My Heart" fall tour. Tickets to the Saturday night performance go on sale April 5 at 10 a.m. via Hy-VeeTix.com, the Wells Fargo Arena box office (233 Center St.) or by phone, at 844-55-HYVEE.
Special guests include Morgan Wallen and Jameson Rodgers, a news release said.
Combs rolls into Des Moines on the wild success of his 2017 debut full-length, "This One's For You." The album, and its summer 2018 reissue, gifted country music listeners with five No. 1 entries on Billboard's country airplay chart: "Hurricane," "When It Rains It Pours," "One Number Away," "She Got The Best Of Me" and "Beautiful Crazy."
Combs proves the first artist in country music history to score at No.1 with his first five singles. Earlier this week, Combs earned the Academy of Country Music Award for New Male Artist of the Year.
He last played the Des Moines arena in 2018, offering main support for Jason Aldean.
The show joins a 2019 lineup at Wells Fargo Arena that includes Weezer and the Pixies (Thursday), Cardi B (May 3), Dave Matthews Band (May 14), Kenny Chesney (May 16), New Kids on the Block (June 9), Shawn Mendes (June 22), Ozzy Osbourne (June 30), Kiss (Sept. 3), Thomas Rhett (Sept. 6) and Carrie Underwood (Oct. 26).
