Gossip site TMZ published a video Saturday that revealed the reason behind DaBaby's rushed exit after his July 31 Val Air Ballroom show, causing him to cancel a planned meet and greet with fans.

The video title says a DaBaby fan was "pummeled" after the concert, but the 26-second video depicts a person on the ground sustaining a single punch from a member of the rapper's entourage. At this time, it's unclear who started the confrontation or how the assault began.

The fan in the video, along with DaBaby and those responsible for the assault of the fan, left the scene before police officers arrived, according to West Des Moines police.

Police reported no arrests or disturbances at the concert.

According to Brandon Miller, a promoter with Elite Sound Design (the organization that planned the concert), the fan who was shown being assaulted in the video is withholding his name and his side of the story for the time being at the advice of his lawyer. It has been confirmed that the attacked person was working for Elite Sound Design as a photographer when the incident occurred.

DaBaby and his security team have previously had violent incidents, including an altercation at a mall in North Carolina that reportedly left one man in a coma, and beat up a provocateur in a Louis Vuitton store.

Tyrell Thornton, an Iowa City producer and promoter with Elite Sound Design, characterized the incident as "minor." He claimed to have spoken with DaBaby's camp and learned that the rapper will be moving on from the incident.
