Multiple Grammy Award winner Dwight Yoakam is set to perform early next year at Stephens Auditorium in Ames.
Known for hit songs such as “You’re the One,” “Little Sister” and “I Sang Dixie,” Yoakam has sold over 25 million albums worldwide, according to a news release announcing the Jan. 18 concert.
Yoakam’s last performance in Des Moines was alongside Willie Nelson at Wells Fargo Arena in April 2018.
Yoakam has released several recent projects, including 2015's “Second Hand Heart” on Warner/Reprise Records. In September 2016, the Kentucky native released “Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars…” on Sugar Hill Records. The project features his cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.”
A limited number of tickets will be available Wednesday at 10 a.m. The full slate of tickets will be available for purchase at noon Friday.
Tickets are available at the Iowa State Center Ticket Office or at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000. Prices range from $39- $89, plus fees.

The Iowa State Center Ticket Office is located at the north entrance of Stephens Auditorium at the corner of Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue. The center is open Monday-Friday from noon-6 p.m.
