Update: The duo from Iowa, Tory Gregurich and Laura McCargar performing under the moniker Rowand & Ivy, won their Instagram poll and will be one of three artists to participate in a special audition this Saturday, Feb. 16, in Nashville.

The three winners of the Instagram poll, including Gregurich and McCargar, will participate in a special performance in which they go head-to-head against each other in a kind of "song battle" for a large group of general contestants waiting to audition in the holding room. The crowd will vote by applause and the winner of the competition will receive a red card, which essentially means we skip the initial audition process and move straight into the callback round of auditions for the show.

You can tune in to watch Rowan & Ivy perform live on Saturday between two p.m. and three p.m. on a live feed brodcast from The Voice Casting Instagram account.

Two Iowa musicians have been given the chance to nail a special audition for the NBC's "The Voice," but they can't do it alone.

Tory Gregurich and Laura McCargar of Des Moines submitted a blind audition — an example of their singing talents with a black screen to hide their appearance — on Instagram for an opportunity to get an automatic callback for the popular competitive singing show, which features celebrity judges like Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys voting sight unseen for contestants based on the strength of their singing ability.

The duo has taken on the moniker "Rowan & Ivy," naming themselves after two trees associated with their respective birth months.

They were chosen among the top six entries after the contest reportedly received more than 600 entrants. Now the two Iowans will have to compete against the other members of the top six for the automatic callback.

Here's how to vote:

  1. Follow the duo's Instagram page (@rowanandivymusic)
  2. Follow the official "The Voice" casting Instagram page (@thevoicecasting). You must be following their page in order for your vote to count.
  3. At 5 p.m. CST Friday, the casting page will be sharing a video of Rowan & Ivy's along with the five other contestants on their Instagram story and holding three polls to be voted on by the public.
  4. Polls are open for 24 hours and will close at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Gregurich is a full-time nanny and McCargar is a photographer and manager at Target. Both have spent most of their lives singing. They placed second at the Bill Riley Talent Search at the Iowa State Fair last summer.

The top three vote-getters of the polling competition will get an automatic invite to open call auditions Feb. 16, in Nashville, Tennessee. The winner of the polling competition gets a "red card,” which is good for an automatic callback.
