Sunday, July 24

Here is the complete route from Glenwood to Shenandoah. The route encompasses 49.7 miles and 2,614 feet of climb. You can add to that total by riding the optional gravel loop. The Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa will visit the new towns of Malvern and Imogene and the towns of Tabor and Randolph that RAGBRAI hasn’t stopped in for 27 years.

Glenwood to Malvern – 13.6 miles
Malvern to Tabor (Meeting) – 11.8 miles
Tabor to Randolph – 7.2 miles
Gravel Loop to Imogene – 18.2 miles(optional)

Monday, July 25

Here is the complete route from Shenandoah to Creston. The route encompasses 75.2 miles and 3,994 feet of climb.  Creston is the highest elevation on the route  This is the longest ride of the week with the most climb, not including the optional Karras Loop Day.

Tuesday, July 26

Here is the complete route from Creston to Leon.  The route travels 58.5 miles with a challenging 3,318 feet of climb.  You will get to ride some nice rollers during the days ride.  The whole route features only three turns, so it will be hard to get lost!  We return to the town of Diagonal after a 35 year hiatus.

Wednesday, July 27

Here is the complete route from Leon to Centerville.  The route treks mainly east for 65.1 miles with just 2,708 feet of climb.  You can tell friends that you rode your bike to New York, Bethlehem and Mystic all in one day!  Your ride will visit the scenic areas around Rathbun Lake. If you want an extra challenge, the Karras Loop will circle Rathbun Lake with a stop for Karras Loop patches at Honey Creek Resort.

Thursday, July 28

Here is the complete route from Centerville to Ottumwa.  The route travels 50.7 miles with just 1,999 feet of climb.  The morning ride over Rathbun Dam is a breathtaking ride that is not open to cyclists throughout the year.  The ride will visit small towns, all with populations less than 1,000 residents on the ride to Ottumwa.

Friday, July 29

Here is the complete route from Ottumwa to Washington.  The riders will enjoy 68.5 miles that includes 2,541 feet of climb.  Riders will make welcome stops in Hedrick and Hayesville in the morning then Sigourney, a former overnight town, will host riders as the meeting town after a 24 year gap.   RAGBRAIers will enjoy two new stops as they get off their bikes at the Wooden Wheel Vineyards and the town of West Chester.

Here is the complete route from Washington to Muscatine.  The ride encompasses 49.7 miles with just 1,314 feet of climb.  Riders will visit all first-time towns on their journey to the Mississippi River in Muscatine including Columbus Junction, Fredonia, Letts and a final stop at Ardon Creek Vineyard & Winery before dipping their tires in the Mighty Miss!
