Street Style: Jessi Wilson, 21
Where do you find style inspiration?
I love reading blogs and following stylish women on Instagram, but I am also obsessed with Pinterest. When I'm shopping, I am always searching Pinterest for different ways to wear a garment before I make a purchase.
What's the one thing you can't leave the house without?
My planner – I'm a bit of an organization nerd.
Who's your style icon?
Lauren Conrad – I've been obsessed with her laidback but feminine style for years.
What trend do you hate most at the moment?
Even though the '70s are back, you'll never catch me with a fringed handbag.
What's your favorite store?
Gap because of its timeless pieces that are fashionable and affordable.
On a scale of 1-10 how fashionable would you rate DSM?
I would give Des Moines a 6, because our city has great casual style, but I'd love to see DSM be more fashion-forward and trendy.
What are you most excited about this summer?
I am interning for Seventeen Magazine in New York City. I can't wait to live and work in such a fast-paced environment for the summer, and I'm sure the street style is amazing!
How do you stay connected with the fashion and beauty world here in Des Moines?
My blog, TheStylishPrint.com, lets me connect trends to the people in my community by creating fashion and beauty content presented in a relatable way. Nothing gets me more excited than finding a good deal on a trendy piece and telling everyone about it. To me, being fashionable doesn't mean spending a lot of money.
