Target shoppers can tap the app and get groceries dropped on their porch the same day
Target shoppers who want their purchases delivered the same day can now make it happen with a simple tap of the store's app.
Customers who were previously able to get same-day delivery by going to Target.com, can now use the retailer's app to order groceries, toiletries and other items for same-day drop-off at their front door.
Customers will continue to pay a delivery fee of $9.99 per order. But from Nov. 17 through Nov. 26, that fee will be waived as long as the purchase is at least $75.
A same-day drop-off of purchases will also continue to be free for members of Shipt, Target's personal shopping and delivery service which costs $99 a year. And for those who want to check out Shipt for the first time, Target is offering a complimentary four-week trial.
At a time when shoppers have grown used to being able to order whatever they want with the click of a button, retailers are competing to get purchases to customers as quickly and conveniently as possible.

Target says that it won't just deliver to your home. It can also make same day deliveries to your office or even a hotel where you're vacationing.
Here are some other same day delivery options shoppers can try this holiday season:
The nation's biggest retailer offers same-day delivery of products ranging from electronics to toys for $7.95 or $9.95 depending on the time of delivery.
It also recently debuted its "Delivery Unlimited'' option for groceries. It costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month, and your order must be $30 or more.
The e-commerce giant offers same-day delivery in select areas of more than 3 million products. For its Prime members, same-day service is free for qualified orders that add up to $35 or more. If the order is less than $35, shoppers can pay a $5.99 delivery fee for each item.
For those who are not Prime members, same-day delivery costs $9.98 per item. In either case, it's usually best to order before noon to make sure your order is dropped at your doorstep by 9 p.m.
