The metro’s fourth Grumpy Goat Tavern has opened.

The newest location is a recently-renovated downtown Des Moines building at 1303 Walnut St.

Owner Steve McFadden said the restaurant and bar will offer full beverage service and limited food offerings until late June when the full menu is introduced. Breakfast is now served on Saturday and Sunday.

The 100-seat patio opens June 9. Live music Fridays on the patio begins June 15 with Jimmy Buffet night.

McFadden had operated two Draught House 50 restaurant/bars in West Des Moines but changed the name of those to Grumpy Goat in February after a legal dispute with former business partners.
