A new barĀ and restaurant will take over the former arcade and tavern Barcadium space in downtown Des Moines in mid-June.

The Tipsy Crow Tavern, 102 Third St., will feature six indoor and outdoor bars, a 10,000-square-foot beer garden, an outdoor stage featuring local and national music acts, indoor dance floor, outdoor fire pit, weekend bloody mary bar and breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

Owner Steve McFadden said he revamped the for bar/arcade that he operated for about 2 and a half years before it closed last year. McFadden said he spent about $1 million upgrading the building, which also includes 20 large screen televisions, bicycle parking and weekend brunch.

The Tipsy Crow Tavern will serve craft cocktails, beer and wine.

McFadden also operates Draught House 50 locations on Mills Civic Parkway and 50th Street, both in West Des Moines. McFadden also is developing a restaurant at 13th and Walnut streets in downtown Des Moines and a 6,200-square-foot restaurant with a rooftop patio on First Street in Ankeny, both of which are scheduled to open in the fall.
