Brian Baumgartner (aka Kevin from 'The Office') left a $69 tip after belting country songs with a crowd during wild night in Iowa City
It was a mini-reunion for fans of "The Office" on this episode of "Saturday Night Live." Host Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott on the popular show, was pressured by former cast members for a reboot.
Brian Baumgartner — aka Kevin, the boorish klutz from NBC's beloved, long-running comedy "The Office" — had a wild night out during a speaking engagement in Iowa City Wednesday.
Surrounded by an excited crowd of people at Bo-James bar, Baumgartner belted out country classics like John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" during the bar's weekly country night. Poking fun at his age relative to most of the crowd, he also led a rendition of Fun's "We Are Young."
"People were swarming him and asking him the strangest questions, but he was super nice," said Tiffany Cohen-Kniffen, whose family owns the bar.
At one point, a man bet Baumgartner $50 on a game of darts, which the former "Office" star then lost. After the game, the man wanted a picture with Baumgartner, who jokingly said he would agree to for the price of $50.
The comedian was drinking Crown and cokes and doing a little guest bartending, as TMZ originally reported. Though everyone was trying to buy him drinks, Baumgartner put it all on his tab and left a nice tip of $69.69.
