Iowa musician and "American Idol" winner Maddie Poppe leads the list of free attractions that will be featured at the Iowa State Fair. She will perform at the Susan Knapp Amphitheater on August 8.
Other notable free attractions include country artist Ned LeDoux, Broadway's Rock of Ages band, local adult-contemporary favorites The Nadas and Prince tribute band "The Purple Xperience."
Poppe, who hails from Clarksville, was the winner of the freshly rebooted "American Idol" in 2018 and is currently promoting her upcoming full-length album on May 17. In February, she released "First Aid Kit," the first single from that album.
Returning to Iowa last September for her first show after her newfound "Idol" fame, Poppe charmed the crowds with her signature rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," the song that he helped catapult her into the hearts of many.
The 2019 Iowa State Fair is 99 days away. You can learn more about the free attractions at the fair here.
