Iowa's best burger is currently being enjoyed in Storm Lake. But for one day, you will have the opportunity to try it at the Iowa State Fair.

The Hereford Burger, made by Smokin' Hereford BBQ, will be featured at the Cattlemen's Beef Quarters on Aug. 11 at the State Fair.

John Mortimer, manager of the Cattlemen's Beef Quarter's, told morningagclips.com that he thinks customers will enjoy the burger.

"It is a great opportunity to allow Iowans from all across the state to try the burger if they are unable to travel to Storm Lake," he said.

In May, The Iowa Beef Industry Council recognized the burger as the winner for its annual Best Burger in Iowa contest for 2017.

The Hereford Burger is an 8-ounce Hereford beef burger served on a toasted bun that's cooked over a flame grill and topped with lettuce, tomato and onion with a pickle on the side.

Additional toppings like bacon and spicy macaroni and cheese are available for a nominal surcharge.

The burger will be sold at the State Fair for $10, beginning at 10 a.m. Aug. 11, while supplies last.
