Happy Tuesday! It's Ameena. First, can we talk about how this past weekend's rain really tried to stop me from being great? Rainy weekends are so disrespectful, but I managed to get out of the house and enjoy myself anyways. No weather formed against me shall prosper. For now, I'm keeping this handy list of five ways to enjoy spring weather in Des Moines. You know, for whenever the sunshine wants to return to us on a more consistent basis. The NCAA men's basketball tournament is rolling through Des Moines and there's plenty to do. To be exact, there are 64 things to do. Ticket prices are ridiculously high, but don't worry. Iowa Nice Guy: So your team is playing in Des Moines?


Comedian and D-List celebrity Kathy Griffin is bringing the laughs to Des Moines. Griffin will be performing at Hoyt Sherman Place, 1501 Woodland Ave., on May 19 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices start at $47.50 and go on pre-sale on Thursday at 10 a.m. and on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday. For tickets, go to Ticketmaster or call 800-745-3000.
